An ape takes a birdcage onto a roof; he opens the door and lets the birds fly out. In order to imitate them, he gets into the basket, jumps out and, instead of flying, falls to the ground. It does not seem a very appropriate way to of telling the queen that she will get hurt if she releases news of Hamlet’s sanity’ (Edwards). Daniell cites this speech as an example of the language of Hamlet getting out of control when driven by passion, as compared with the more rational and orderly discourse of JC (Daniell, 40).”
