1927-8 Corson (1874, p. 26): “The Circumstance Which I haue told thee, of my Fathers death. F. The C. , following the Quartos, omits the comma after ‘thee;’ it serves to show that the phrase’ of my father’s death’ is connected with ‘circumstance’ and not with ‘told,’ and, in neat pointing, should not be omitted.”

1928 Which... death] Elze (ed. 1882): “FA seems to be right in placing a comma after thee and in thus connecting the words of my fathers death with circumstance and not with told. This construction seems to be borne out by QA, where the respective lines run thus: — ‘There is a play to night, wherein one Sceane they haue Comes very neere the murder of my father.”
