DRB Chapter 1 EB

1.1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

1.2 The same was in the beginning with God.

1.3 All things were made by him: him; and without him was not any thing made nothing that was made.

1.4 In him was life, life; and the life was the light of men.

1.5 And the light shineth in darkness, darkness; and the darkness did not comprehend it. comprehended it not.

1.6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

5.29 And shall come forth; they that have done good things, shall come forth good, unto the resurrection of life; but and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment. damnation.

13.9 Simon Peter saith to him: unto him, Lord, not only my feet, feet only, but also my hands and my head.

13.10 Jesus saith to him: him, He that is washed, washed needeth not but save to wash his feet, but is clean wholly. And you every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.

13.11 For he knew who he was that would should betray him; therefore he said: You said he, Ye are not all clean.

13.12 Then So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, being and was set down again, he said to them: unto them, Know you ye what I have done to you?

13.13 You Ye call me Master, Master and Lord; Lord: and you ye say well, well; for so I am.

13.14 If then I being then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; you ye also ought to wash one another's feet.

13.15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you, so you do also. you.

13.16 Amen, amen Verily, verily, I say to you: unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is the apostle sent greater than he that sent him.

13.17 If you ye know these things, you shall be blessed happy are ye if you ye do them.
